Industrial Robots Classification And Composition
1 Classification
According to the arrangement of joints, industrial robots are divided into serial robots and parallel robots. Human arms belong to Serial link structures, while animal-like limbs belong to parallel link mechanisms.
Serial joint linkage robots are divided into vertical joint type and horizontal joint type robot according to the direction of the joint, such as SCARA robot is a horizontal joint type robot. The load of horizontal joint robots is not large, most of the loads are within 20kg, while the load of vertical joint robots can be very large, such as the load of Japanese FANUC M-2000iA/2300 robots can be 2300kg.
There are many classification methods for industrial robots, which can be classified according to the size of the load or according to the use, and the robot selection must be considered comprehensively.
2 Composition of Industrial Robots
Industrial robots are mainly composed of motors, reducers, control systems, mechanism components, etc., which do not seem complicated, but it is even more difficult to achieve high-precision positioning and ensure the reliability and stability of long-term operation.
Motors, reducers are standard products, control systems also have mature products on the market, mechanism components can be outsourced, in short, it is not difficult to piece together a robot.
Although the machinery has long declined, I feel that the most difficult part of the robot is stuck in the mechanical link, seemingly simple rotational movement, but the internal are precision transmission, the difference is thousands of miles, if even the accuracy of the underlying mechanical mechanism can not be guaranteed, how to talk about the positioning accuracy of the final robot.
