Free is not good, and so is CAD software.

LibreCAD is a free Open Source CAD application for Windows, Apple and Linux. Support and documentation are free from our large, dedicated community of users, contributors and developers.

The LibreCAD installation package is only 24M, compared to the AutoCAD 2G installation package, LibreCAD is small, but the corresponding features and user experience, LibreCAD has also plummeted.

LibreCAD is free and open source, the code is maintained by some technology enthusiasts, they don't make money, but they don't care about users, and in the end it is a vicious circle, and the product is half-dead.

AutoCAD is commercial software, the user is God, what they have to do is to invest in what they like, let users pay for the product, only the better the product, they can make more money, in the end, is a virtuous circle, technology iteration is getting faster and faster, the product is getting better and better.

Free and open source software is a mess, and people like free, but prefer boutique.
